We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an experienced Accounting Manager in FAIRFIELD, Ohio. This role is primarily responsible for overseeing the financial operations of multiple corporate restaurants, preparing and reporting financial statements, and handling all aspects of accounting for these locations. The position will also involve working with various software systems, including Sage 100 and DataCentral, for data extraction and report generation.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting operations for multiple corporate restaurants to ensure accurate and efficient financial management

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including month-end journal entries and bank reconciliations

• Manage labor, food cost, and other financial elements from back house system and generate reports for leadership

• Act as a key point of contact for financial inquiries and provide timely and accurate responses

• Monitor and manage the transition from Sage to a new system over a three-year period

• Work on-site for a majority of the week with potential for remote work as required

• Collaborate with a consultant for training and special projects as needed

• Ensuring compliance with all financial regulations and keeping up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and legislation.

Requirements

• Must possess a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field.

• Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role in the financial sector.

• Demonstrated experience in managing month-end close processes.

• Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, including consolidated financial statements.

• Proficiency in handling bank reconciliations.

• Excellent skills in conducting month-end journal entries.

• Experience in managing a multi-set of books is essential.

• Valid professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.

• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
