Job Description:
Position: Graduate Assistant- Women’s Basketball Operations
Compensation: $12,000 annual stipend plus 18 credits per academic year
Reports to: Director of Women’s Basketball Operations
General position summary : Serving as a key member of the women’s basketball program at Fairfield University, the graduate assistant for operations will support a variety of administrative and basketball centric functions.
The position is renewable for a second year by mutual agreement.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Assist the women’s basketball coaching staff with film review and data analysis
Manage the organization, marketing and coordination of summer camps and clinics
Serve as a coach on the floor during practice and training sessions
Assist the Director of Women’s Basketball Operations with administrative functions including the coordination of team travel, expense reports and budget management
Assist with the coordination of on-campus recruiting visits with various campus partners
Assist with social media content creation and distribution
Required Qualifications:
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree and acceptance into a Fairfield University graduate program. Strong written and oral communication skills Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects at once
Preferred Qualifications:
Former playing experience as a basketball student-athlete at the collegiate level Proficient in any of the following: Photoshop/Adobe Suite, iMovie, Synergy, and SportsCode
