Accounting Assistant

Direct-Hire / Permanent position

Work Model - full time onsite in the office 5 days per week

Robert Half has partnered with a valued client in the construction industry in their search of an Accounting Assistant to join their Accounting Department. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Accounting Assistant will handle AP invoice processing and AR reconciliations and general billing responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

· Generating invoices, reconciliations

· Time and material billing

· Processing AP invoices

· Generating check runs /ACH batches /mailing checks

· Inventory calculations

Ideal experience:

· AS or BS degree preferred

· 1-2 years of AR and/or AP experience

· ERP or Accounting software experience

· MS Excel proficiency

Requirements

Accounting Assistant

• Minimum of 1 year experience as an AP/AR Specialist or in a similar role

• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Experience in invoice processing and reconciliation

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas

• Familiarity with Sage 300 or similar accounting software

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Strong numerical skills and an understanding of financial processes

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proactive problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is preferred
