job summary:

A Senior Supplier Quality Engineer is needed for one of the world's largest suppliers of aerospace and defense products in the Fairfield, CA area. This position will lead supplier quality management by analyzing performance data, driving improvements, conducting audits, mitigating risks and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance quality and delivery for engineered items and commodity materials.

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

• Analyze performance data.

• Identify opportunities for improvement.

• Proactively reduce and prevent material defects.

• Align improvements with department and organizational goals.

• Submit, review, coach, and accept corrective action requests.

• Conduct on-site supplier performance reviews.

• Perform process walks and Quality System audits.

Skills:

• strong interpersonal skills.

• strong presentation skills.

• Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in STEM (Mechanical Engineering preferred).

• 6-9 years of relevant experience.
