Summary

HII Mission Technologies is seeking an experienced Senior Director of Programs for a new, single-award ID/IQ task order contract that provides Next Generation Technology services to integrate commercial solutions for a wide variety of mission partners, including the Intelligence Community, military services, geographic and functional combatant commands, and DoD agencies. The Director of Programs will oversee the overall program, team leadership, and individual project leads. This role involves interfacing with multiple customers and developing and managing plans across subcontractors. This flexible contract is intended to provide global support. The Director of Programs will be responsible for cost, schedule, technical performance, and risk management across the entire project portfolio. The position offers remote work and is supported by a full-service Program Management Office and a dedicated team of technical and operational personnel.

This position offers flexibility to work remotely or on a hybrid schedule.

What you will do

  • Provide management and oversight of all activities and serve as the primary interface and Point of Contact (POC) with the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) and the customer Technical Point of Contact (TPOC).

  • Be responsible for cost, schedule, technical performance, and risk management for all aspects of the program and portfolio of projects.

  • Manage and oversee the activities of all contractor personnel, as well as subcontractor teaming partners and vendors.

  • Provide leadership, management, direction, administration, quality assurance, and technical oversight of this contract.

  • Offer expertise and coordination in the management of a global program requiring daily accountability of a workforce spread across all time zones.

What we are looking for

  • 10 years of relevant progressive experience with a bachelor’s degree in a related field; or 8 years of relevant progressive experience with a master’s degree in a related field.

  • A minimum of five years of experience within the last 10 years as a program/project manager on DoD projects in Unmanned, AI, and/or autonomous or robotic solutions.

  • Current Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) or Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification, or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act PM Advanced Program Certification.

  • Current Lean-Six Sigma Greenbelt or higher, or experience as a Scrum Master.

  • A minimum of three years within the last 15 years working directly for or in support of a functional or geographic combatant command.

  • Clearance: Must possess and maintain a Top Secret (TS) clearance with the ability to gain an SCI based on a Single Source Background Investigation (SSBI).

  • Primarily telework with routine reporting to Government and HII offices to support meetings, observe and evaluate testing, participate in status meetings, etc. (approximately 25% travel).
