What you'll do on a typical day: Lead a team of Transportation Analyst that manage daily and weekly shipping schedules and delivery/shipping appointments for customers Ensure timely processing of customer deliveries to external service providers Investigate and determine the root cause of all service failures; implement corrective actions whenever necessary Develop training material around delivery release, scheduling, creation of shipping documents and labels according to customer specifications Communicate with carriers and customer service associates in case of shipping challenges Create Advanced Shipping Notice (ASN) notifications and shipment updates using the customer portal Maintain established levels of productivity and quality standards within a fast-paced environment Collaborate with both internal and external business partners to maintain on time shipping requirements Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you'll need: 4 years of transportation experience In-depth knowledge of the supply chain/logistics industry Availability to travel occasionally It'd be great if you also have: Bachelor's degree Experience working in a Warehouse or Distribution Center managing shipments 6 years of direct management experience 4 years of SAP experience Experience with WMS and manifesting software as it relates to logistics applications Project management skills and experience Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Proven leadership and collaboration skills with experience effectively supervising, mentoring and influencing employees Excellent verbal and written communication skills Experience as a collaborative, innovative and strategic thinker Solid customer relationship management skills This job requires the ability to: Lift objects of various shapes, sizes and weights up to 25 lbs. Stand, sit or walk for extended periods of time Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel We engineer faster, smarter, leaner supply chains.
