Job Title: Welder Department:  Fabrication Classification:  Non-Exempt

Summary: A Welder is vital to our success and is responsible for making the products we supply to our customers. The person in this role will work in a light-filled, state of the art manufacturing facility, together with a team of highly motivated and skilled team members; to build and assemble our award-winning proprietary product line.

Responsibilities: As a Welder you will: Perform mig, tig, heli-arc, and acetylene welding operations of a diversified nature. Weld, cut, bend and melt a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous material and alloys to fabricate parts in conformance with exacting requirements. Interpret blue prints sketches and other specifications. Lay out and set-up work, determine operational sequence and devises suitable for holding fixtures. Select welding rids of appropriate size and composition, proper tips for gas welding and proper settings for gas welding. Utilize a variety of hand tools and equipment, and follow standardized sheets, drawings, samples and verbal instructions to build and weld within established Takt times and minimize scrap and rework. Check work and the work of other team members insuring all aspects of the welds are complete and correct. Provide team with sufficient information and support to accomplish team goals. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Properly use and maintain equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility. Support the Fab shop or other production team on an as needed basis. Maintain quality standards and schedules. Interface with engineering, supervisors, QC inspectors and co-workers. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements You're a great fit for this position if this describes you; Vocational, Trade or High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 2 - 5 years of experience in welding of a diversified nature or appropriate certifications. Able to read and interpret technical drawings. Excellent and precise motor coordination. Previous experience in a manufacturing organization; low volume/high mix a plus. Have knowledge of raw materials. Able to lift up to 50lbs and stand for up to 10 to 12 hours per day if necessary. Able to perform in a fast-paced, team environment, while responding and adapting to change favorably and quickly.
