Role Summary

WSP’s Project Security Administrators sit within the Security Management function and support project security assurance working closely with the respective Project Security Manager(s). This could be within Defence, Nuclear, or any other Government departmental area. You will provide efficient and effective processing of all requests and enquiries into WSP’s Security Management mailbox, escalating to the respective sector lead or business support function where appropriate. You will be expected to prioritise urgent business requests for security support, ensuring appropriate client (both internal and external) engagement is maintained at all times. You will be responsible for enhancing the professional working relationships with all WSP’s business units and WSP’s Security Management function. You will also act as the local security focal point for the Bristol office and you will be expected to contribute to WSP’s continuous improvement programme by identifying potential process improvements where required.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of WSP’s Security Management mailbox, ensuring excellent client service in all responses and interactions.

  • Documenting, producing and cascading minutes of all security assurance meetings, workgroups and forums.

  • Reviewing and approving access requests to project information environments (MS Teams & Sharepoint).

  • Ensuring “Need to Access & Need to Know” principles are met (folder & file structure and access restrictions).

  • Support Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and National Security Vetting (NSV) applications.

  • Support project onboarding through induction, training & awareness to meet legislative & client requirements.

  • Supporting the management and governance of security arrangements for the Bristol office.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • Hold SC clearance or the ability to achieve it.

  • Microsoft Teamsite Administration experience.

  • Previous project security administration experience.

  • Educated to GCSE standard or hold equivalent industry experience for a similar role.

Travel to the Bristol office will be required on a hybrid basis.

These terms of reference will be reviewed periodically and updated as required to reflect changing requirements based on emergent needs of the business.
