Role SummaryThe Senior Sourcing Specialist for Third Party Manufacturing (TPM) Management is responsible for managing sourcing activities and supplier relationships to ensure reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality production from Contract Manufacturers (CMs). This position will specifically oversee the third-party manufacturing supply for Therabreath Mouthwash, as well as the Vitafusion, Lil Critters, and Zicam brands. The role is critical in driving strategic sourcing initiatives, achieving significant cost savings (in the millions), and improving cash flow through enhanced payment terms. The focus is on operational efficiency, supplier performance, and delivering tangible business results.
Role Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesManage sourcing activities related to Contract Manufacturers, ensuring optimal cost, quality, and service levels for assigned brands, including Therabreath Mouthwash, Vitafusion, Lil Critters, and Zicam.
Lead strategic sourcing initiatives to achieve aggressive savings targets and improve cash flow through extended payment terms.
Execute RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes to support sourcing decisions and onboard new CMs aligned with growth strategies.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with CMs to drive cost savings and strengthen supplier partnerships.
Issue GEP Smart POs as needed
Support supplier selection processes using criteria such as cost, quality, assurance of supply, regulatory compliance, and responsible sourcing.
Monitor pricing trends and conduct variance analysis to ensure financial targets are met in collaboration with Finance.
Oversee key supply chain projects, including supplier transitions, new product introductions, and capacity planning.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Finance, Operations, and R&D) to ensure seamless execution of product launches and supply chain initiatives.
Conduct supplier business reviews to assess performance and compliance with company standards.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the supply base, including automation and process optimization.
Resolves Finished Goods invoice discrepancies.
Onboarding of CMs: FTP, Invoicing, SN, Inventory/SLOB, PSR, SRF, RTM/RTS
Manage SAP master data updates, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
master data creation, New SKU / BOM setup, Agile specification approval.
SAP PIR creation
SAP Vendor creation
Identify and mitigate risks in the external manufacturing network to ensure supply continuity.
Support Associate Directors in capacity utilization analysis.
Travel up to 15-20% to build relationships with CMs and oversee critical projects.
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (required).
MBA (preferred).
3-5 years of Procurement, Supply Chain, or Sourcing experience, preferably in Contract Manufacturing or Third Party Management.
Demonstrated success in achieving significant cost savings and improving payment terms.
Direct experience in supplier negotiation and cost optimization.
Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis.
ERP systems experience, such as SAP or Oracle (preferred).
Familiarity with eAuction platforms (plus).
Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with expertise in data-driven decision-making.
Strategic thinker with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex challenges.
Proven negotiation skills and a focus on delivering cost savings and value creation.
Effective communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong business acumen and financial analysis capabilities.
Ability to collaborate across functions and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
