Actalent Test Engineer in Everett, Washington

Job Title: Test EngineerJob Description

Under general supervision, the Test Engineer plans and conducts the activities required to support engineering and production test equipment, performing a variety of complex technical tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate proficiency with Test Engineering ATE equipment.

  • Troubleshoot test equipment to determine root cause and implement corrective action as required.

  • Develop test equipment from schematics, rough sketches, and/or verbal instructions.

  • Perform complex DVT, HALT/HASS, ESS & Qualification tests.

  • Determine time standards for tests and the most cost-effective methods of performing tests.

  • Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged.

  • Understand and live by the company's ethics and business conduct policies.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency with automated verification, electrical concepts, Aerospace testing, Avionics testing, and electronic equipment.

  • Two-year technical degree or equivalent.

  • A minimum of 5 years of technical experience.

  • Experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably dealing with aerospace or in a highly regulated industry.

  • Must be a US Person.

  • Familiarity with Test Engineering equipment and personal computer skills using Microsoft Office.

  • Familiarity with LabView and PXI/PXIe modules.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with environmental/EMI testing including thermal chambers, hot/cold testing, vibration testing, humidity testing, and troubleshooting test boxes and fixing cables.

  • Experience using MIL-STD 202, MIL-STD- 461, MIL-STD-810, and RTCA DO-160 documents for testing.

  • Highly motivated with effective oral/written communication and interpersonal/team skills.

  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and delegate work to support customers and peers.

The role is based on-site in a manufacturing environment. The facility is located in Washington, just 30 miles north of Seattle. The area is known for its excellent public schools, fabulous parks, beaches, marinas, and safe streets. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.00/hr.
