Boeing Commercial Airlines is actively seeking a skilled and experienced P aint Sprayer to join our exceptional team in Everett, WA.

As a Coating and Finishing Specialist and be part of an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills and creativity in applying coatings and finishes. You will have the chance to work on a variable basis, utilizing a variety of fixtures based on blueprints, specifications, instructions, and quality requirements. This means you will have the opportunity to work on different projects, using different techniques and materials, providing you with a diverse and enriching experience.

In addition to standard coatings and finishes, you will also have the chance to apply specialty coatings and perform unique paint applications. This will allow you to showcase your creativity and expertise in delivering exceptional results.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supervise lower-classification employees involved in painting aircraft, missiles, or space vehicles to ensure accurate completion of work assignments.

  • Perform touch-ups and touch-in painting using both spray and brush methods in accordance with inspection standards.

  • Prepare surfaces to ensure proper adhesion and conduct necessary hand or power finishing.

  • Mix various paints, enamels, lacquers, and varnishes to the appropriate consistency.

  • Apply primer as required to meet work requirements using spray or brush techniques.

  • Clean and service spray guns, paint tanks, brushes, hoses, and other related equipment after each use.

  • Mask and unmask areas as necessary to facilitate corrosion removal or painting processes.

  • Set up and prepare all necessary equipment and supplies, including fall protection and removable protective gear.

  • Coordinate with safety, environmental, and fire departments to ensure the shop is ready for specific paint operations.

  • Operate lifts to complete work assignments.

  • Support customer inspections as needed.

  • Manage oven operations and ensure proper functioning of curing and air filtering equipment, including monitoring oven temperature, booth pressure, breathing air, and humidity, and documenting as required.

  • Monitor and maintain time-sensitive materials and processes.

  • Apply temporary protective materials, such as elephant hide and mats, to assist with subsequent operations.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a United States Person as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required) :

  • 1+ years of experience painting.

  • Experience from heights & using fall protection equipment with weight limitations.

  • Experience finishing and painting in either Aircraft, Automotive or Marine.

  • Experience handling and disposing hazardous materials per government regulations.

  • Ability to support frequent standing, walking, lifting for up to 6 hours, and working at heights with or without equipment assistance.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, overtime, and occasional weekend when necessary.

  • The ability to consistently wear eye, hearing, foot, hand, respirator, and other protective equipment/safety gear is a necessary for this role. Compliance with this requirement is essential.

  • Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, technical publications and/or specifications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.

Typical Education:

High school graduate or GED preferred.

This position is for a variety of shifts.

Summary pay range: $20.00 - $43.74 per hour
