What you will do:

  • Expert Technical Support: Provide expert assistance to customers in resolving technical issues during the installation and operation of Collins Aerospace products. Your knowledge and skills will be crucial in troubleshooting and diagnosing system/equipment interface problems.

  • Customer Consultation: Work closely with customers before and after installation to address any concerns and ensure seamless integration of our products. Review customer equipment interface requirements and offer valuable insights.

  • Product Training: Familiarize customers with the maintenance and usage of their products, ensuring they are confident and knowledgeable about their new systems.

  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance, modifications, and field changes to installed equipment to maintain optimal performance.

  • System Start-Up: Lead startup, cut-over, and check-out activities for newly installed systems, ensuring they meet all operational standards.

  • Documentation: Prepare detailed operations and malfunction reports, providing comprehensive documentation for all activities.

  • Engineering Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering teams to solve design problems, evaluate product performance, and conduct field trials.

  • Acceptance Testing: Support and perform equipment/system acceptance testing following installation, ensuring all systems meet performance criteria.

  • Travel: Potentially extended travel to international and domestic customer sites to support activities, including filling in for other Field Support members.

Supervisory responsibility:

  • Team Leadership: Directly supervise non-exempt associates and local contractors, ensuring they adhere to Collins Aerospace policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training associates, planning, assigning, and directing work.

  • Operational Independence: Receive objectives and assignments from local management but act independently in supervising associates, following established practices, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position

  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Capable of writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.

  • Communication Skills: Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and handle multiple abstract and concrete variables.

  • Physical Requirements: Valid driver's license. Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. Occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

  • Environmental Conditions: Occasionally exposed to wet/humid conditions and outside weather conditions. Noise level is usually moderate.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is $66,300 to $89,700; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.

The salary range for this role is 48,000 USD - 116,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
