Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking an Entry-Level Payloads Engineer to join our teams in Everett, WA or Renton,WA The payloads organization is responsible for everything you see when you fly; and a lot that you don’t: The Interior of the airplane, along with the Cargo compartments, exterior markings, associated systems, and cabin safety all make up Payloads. We are how our airline customers fulfill their mission and represent their brand.

Position Responsibilities :

  • Engineering support within a production system

  • Direct engagement working with/for aerospace suppliers or airlines

  • Experience supporting the validation of compliance to regulatory requirements

  • Working with regulators

  • Design for manufacturing

  • Aircraft cargo compartment and handling system design, integration, and/or certification

  • Assists to develop, integrate and document interior payload system certification requirements to establish the system design

  • Assists to review analyses and test/inspection results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications

  • Work with design engineers on showing compliance to the FAA regulations, developing/using issue papers, equivalent level of safety etc.

  • Assists FAA designees for interior crashworthiness

  • Assists to develop, integrate and document the seats system requirements to establish the design.

  • Assists to perform or oversee approval of analyses and test/inspection results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) :

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an accredited course of study in engineering

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's Degree in mechanical, civil, or aerospace engineering from an accredited course of study in engineering

  • Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills

  • Experience in using a variety of media to clearly convey information and ideas to an executive level audience in a manner that engages both individuals and groups

Typical Education & Experience :

Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard

Summary pay range Entry-Level: $68,850 - $93,150
