Verstela Assembly Mechanic in EVERETT, Washington
Do you like building machines and have at least 2 years of experience working as a mechanic? If so, this Assembly Mechanic role at a packaging machine company could be a great fit for you!
This company is a leader in the packaging machine industry and has been building cutting edge machines for over 60 years. In this role, you will perform assembly, maintenance, and troubleshooting on packaging machinery. Being able to work accurately and efficiently is incredibly important in this position.
This is a temporary-to-hire job that offers stable hours and an excellent benefits package upon conversion that includes company paid medical, dental, and life insurance, 401k, and paid holidays! For an individual who has direct experience working on food or pharmaceutical packaging machines, a direct hire will be considered.
Assembly Mechanic Job Duties:
- Installing mechanical components and sub-assemblies into machines according to diagrams and written specifications
- Mounting auxiliary equipment to the machine
- Aligning and connecting parts together with fasteners using hand and power tools
Setting up and operating machines for testing purposes
*Schedule: *Pick your shift!
- Monday-Friday: 6:00am-2:30pm
Monday-Thursday: 4:00am-2:30pm (4-day work week with the option to have Friday off or used for OT!)
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience required working as a Mechanic or Assembly Mechanic
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints required
- Working understanding of both English and Metric measuring systems
- Ability to stand for 8-10 hours consistently
- Lift 40+ lbs consistently throughout shift
Pay:
- $25-$27 per hour for temporary-to-hire
- $28-$32 per hour for a direct hire candidate with specific packaging machine mechanic experience
