Aston Carter Accounts Payable Specialist in Everett, Washington
Job Title: Accounts Payable SpecialistJob Description
As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will ensure the timely and accurate processing of accounts payable invoices. You will prepare batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions, and manage the accounts payable inbox alongside other team members. You will serve as a key point of contact for both internal and external accounts payable inquiries, maintaining courteous communication with vendors and internal departments. Your role will also involve driving efficiencies and improvements in accounts payable processes in compliance with SOX requirements, verifying vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements, and maintaining accounting documents, records, and reports. Additionally, you will investigate and resolve invoice processing issues and perform other duties to support the accounting department.
Hard Skills
Processing 500+ invoices monthly
Strong computer skills, especially in Excel and Word
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel
Soft Skills
Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Detail-oriented with a customer service focus
Proactive in anticipating and resolving issues
Flexibility in scheduling and ability to work overtime as needed
Job Type
This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a hybrid position requiring some days on-site in Everett, Washington and some days remote.
Work Environment
The work environment is generally moderate in noise level. The role involves regular sitting, using hands to handle or feel, and talking or hearing. It occasionally requires standing and walking, and frequently involves reaching with hands and arms.
