Job Description Summary

The Evendale Data Acquisition Tech performs technical assignments involving instrumentation,

lead out and data acquisition / processing systems under the leadership of appropriate staff or project personnel; ensures that the Company provides quality data to its customers.

This role is 1st Shift, 6:30AM-3:00PM; M-F. Weekend support and OT will be offered through out the year.

Job Description

In addition, as the Data Acquisition Technician, you will:

• Perform assigned tasks necessary for the successful operation of analog and digital data acquisition systems, including:

Setup

Installation

Calibration

Data Collection

Documentation

and Operating Functions

• Monitor data acquisition systems during engine test to identify issues

• Assist with investigating, diagnosing and correcting instrumentation or system malfunctions, elevating issues to appropriate staff as needed

• Review and assist in the interpretation and processing of test data

• Analyze results of calibrations and processed data

• Supports multiple areas, systems, and may be scheduled to travel, as determined by business need

• Maintain effective communications with team members, support organization and customers

• Promote and demonstrate good housekeeping

• Observe safety practices

• Ability to learn the following

· Electrical troubleshooting

o Multimeter and Oscilloscope experience

o Circuit theory

o Instrumentation knowledge

o Ability to read and follow schematics

o Electro-mechanical control systems

o Electrical noise mitigation

· Mechanical troubleshooting

o Basic hand tools

o Understanding of forces and loads

o Complex pneumatic and hydraulic measurement systems

o Pneumatic and hydraulic control systems

· Windows and Linux operating systems

o XML structure

o Complex software configuration

o Excel

o PowerPoint

o Network configuration

· Metrology Knowledge

o Measurement standards

o Traceability

· Instrumentation

o Overall knowledge of instrumentation to measure pressure, temperature, frequency, flow, speed, vibration, displacement, torque, force, load, stress, strain, and voltage

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
