Role Overview

The APQP Project Manager - D&S will serve as the connection between Engineering, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Quality, and Programs to ensure product and manufacturing readiness, execution, and delivery. This on-site role requires a high level of organization, communication, and cross-functional management.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for assigned APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) projects, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC).

  • Support GE quality standards and program plans, translating them into requirements and milestones for assigned projects.

  • Serve as the project manager for identified D&S APQP projects.

  • Develop specialized knowledge of the latest GE quality standards and APQP applicability through training and best practices.

  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of best practices to manage cross-functional teams, ensuring integration within supply chain and programs.

  • Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks and problems within projects, using technical expertise to drive outcomes.

  • Demonstrate exceptional organizational and communication skills to meet project commitments and customer demands.

  • Collaborate with GE quality and sourcing teams to spread APQP awareness and guide shops/suppliers through the APQP deliverable process.

  • Ensure overall project success and timely delivery according to customer and GE quality standards.

  • Partner with D&S Program teams to identify future risks or opportunities to expand advanced quality initiatives and reduce MRB/QEMs.

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a highly organized and proactive leader with strong communication and project management skills. You have a proven track record of managing cross-functional teams and ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college, OR a high school diploma/GED plus at least 6 years of relevant experience.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience working with supply chain, manufacturing, or quality organizations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in managing APQP projects.

  • Strong understanding of GE quality standards and supply chain management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Proven ability to lead projects and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
