Job Description:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Automotive and Locomotive Technician to join our team, specializing in the maintenance and repair of train carts and locomotives. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, a problem-solving mindset, and hands-on experience in mechanical work. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with at least 1 year of mechanical experience to work on a variety of large-scale equipment in a dynamic environment.
Pay Rate: $18-22 DOE
Responsibilities:
Perform inspections, maintenance, and repair on train carts and locomotives.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, ensuring safe and efficient repairs.
Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve issues.
Follow safety protocols and maintain an organized workspace.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding repairs and parts.
Requirements:
1 year of mechanical experience (preferably with heavy machinery or transportation systems).
Valid drivers license and good driving record.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose and solve problems efficiently.
Basic understanding of automotive and locomotive systems.
