We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various automotive systems. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. The Automotive Technician will work closely with customers to provide exceptional service and support.
Duties
- Diagnose and repair transmission systems (RandR - remove and replace)
- Perform transmission overhauls and rebuilds as needed
- Conduct general automotive repairs, including brakes, suspension, and engine work
- Troubleshoot electrical issues related to transmission and other vehicle systems
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to assess and resolve mechanical and electrical problems
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on various makes and models
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Ensure quality workmanship and customer satisfaction
Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an Automotive Technician, with a focus on transmission repair
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on skills
- Electrical experience (diagnosis, wiring, troubleshooting)
- Knowledge of transmission RandR processes
- General automotive repair experience (brakes, suspension, engine, etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- ASE certification (preferred but not required)
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
