Robert Half is looking for experienced Payroll Specialists to be responsible for all payroll-related tasks for our clients in the Eugene area. The Payroll Specialist's responsibilities include collecting and reviewing employee information and working hours, calculating wages, preparing and processing employee payments, and maintaining accurate payroll records. To be successful as a Payroll Specialist you should be able to investigate and resolve payroll issues and ensure strict compliance with company and regulatory standards. An outstanding Payroll Specialist should also have excellent people skills and a high numerical aptitude.

Job Duties:

• Process and manage accurate payroll for employees on a regular basis.

• Calculate and verify wages, deductions, and taxes for each pay cycle.

• Maintain payroll records and ensure data integrity in the payroll system.

• Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.

• Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and tax-related matters.

• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to relevant departments.

• Stay updated on payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.

• Assist in resolving payroll discrepancies and issues.

• Support audits by providing payroll-related documentation as needed.

  Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role.

• Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance.

• Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.

• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

• Knowledge of labor laws and regulations is a plus.
