Global Foundries Metrology / CFM Equipment Maintenance Technician - N2 Shift in Essex Junction, Vermont

Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries is looking to hire Equipment Maintenance Technicians to sustain and run the fab floor with primary responsibility of resolving equipment and process issues. Technician positions are hourly shift positions (nights - N2) working a compressed week of 12-hour shifts. GlobalFoundries is a 24/7 manufacturing facility providing technician support across all shifts. 12.5% Shift differential applies for either night shift.

Essential Responsibilities include:

  • Perform basic preventive maintenance activities

  • Perform basic unplanned maintenance activities.

  • React to error messages of factory systems and/or equipment

  • Recover from process and tool interruptions

  • Identify and address potential areas for improvement and optimize tool availability, cycle time, utilization and cost

  • Complete all required reporting and documentation

  • Understand and follow all health, safety, and environmental procedures and requirements

  • Actively participate in continuous improvement processes, learning and skills development

  • Strong team member, able to work well with a global team, and other duties as assigned.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

  • Other duties as assigned by manager / supervisor.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education – High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Experience – Minimum 1-2 years' of relevant technical / mechanical experience, external candidates must pass technical aptitude assessment

  • Fluency in English Language - both Written & Verbal

  • Physical Capacity Demands - 12-hour Alternate Work Schedule (Nights or Days), ability to wear cleanroom suit and Personal Protective Equipment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Semiconductor Equipment Maintenance.

Expected Salary Range

$40,000.00 - $64,900.00

The exact Salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience and location.
