Responsibilities
Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of Welder/Fabricators. Also, each supervisor is responsible for a specific area of the shop. One is assigned supervisor duties of the crib, one is assigned to the yard, and one is assigned to the facilities and maintenance staff. The Shop Supervisor is also responsible to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Additional Responsibilities include participating in training employees; execution of the project plan, assigning, and directing work; providing performance feedback; rewarding and disciplining employees; providing Production Manager with feedback regarding addressing complaints and resolving problems. Overseeing the quality of day-to-day operations of a crew, to ensure they are communicating effectively to work toward a common goal, remaining productive, achieving the expectations, and avoiding conflict.
