Amazon Finance Manager, WW Ops Finance - Trans Support in Erlanger, Kentucky

Description

Amazon Air Finance seeks a thoughtful data-driven approach to controllership, leveraging resilience and curiosity in our quest to develop and share outstanding financial acumen for the benefit of our business, in regards to Ground's capital investment decisions. We work with speed and purpose, partnering closely with Operations, HR, and many other dynamic teams in collaboration on best results for all of our customers. As part of the team, you will utilize cutting edge data pipelines, build accurate predictive models, participate in new launch initiatives, and deploy automated software solutions to provide forecasting insights to leadership driving decisions affecting millions of customers globally.

Key job responsibilities

  • Work closely with business partners, stakeholders, and other finance teams across transportation, fulfillment, supply chain, and technology teams to reduce cost while improving customer experience

  • Build forecasting models and operating plans to support network growth initiatives and challenge cost assumptions

  • Extracting, combining, and summarizing data to analyze the financial impact of new initiatives, and effectively communicating key findings to senior leadership to influence and support tactical and strategic business decisions

  • Developing metrics and reports to provide controllership to new programs

Basic Qualifications

  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science)

  • 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
