UL, LLC Sales Channel Specialist (m/f/d) in Erlangen, Germany

The growing complexity and connectivity of our systems, particularly in connection with autonomous driving, are increasing the importance of Functional Safety & Security. Functional Safety & Security must be integrated into systems and software engineering from the very start.

UL Solutions Software Intensive Systems helps to develop safe and secure systems and implement process requirements into projects. The recognized Software Intensive Systems experts support customers worldwide in process improvement, Automotive SPICE®, Functional Safety, Cybersecurity, and other standards. Software Intensive Systems offers a holistic service portfolio of consulting, support, and training as a specialized organization.

General tasks

The Sales Channel Specialist supports Software Intensive Systems channel partners during the sales process of the Software Stages. As part of the marketing team, the channel specialist collects best practices for the distribution and introduction of stages to the customer. He passes on this information and thus supports the improvement of the programs for Software Intensive Systems distributors. The Channel Specialist coaches and supports Software Intensive Systems partners in lead acquisition, closing opportunities, and project launches. Therefore, the channel specialist is also responsible for the revenue generated by the sale of software licenses.

The tasks of the sales channel specialist in detail:

  • Selection: The channel specialist identifies and acquires suitable channel partners and brokers.

  • Training: The channel specialist trains the channel partners to ensure that they are provided with sufficient information about the software stages and the Software Intensive Systems sales process.

  • Evaluation: The channel specialist regularly checks whether all of Software Intensive Systems channel partners are meeting their and/or common goals.

  • Conflict management: The channel specialist has the task of recognizing potential conflicts at an early stage and reacting appropriately to them.

Other tasks of the sales channel specialist:

  • Capture and share best practices for sales and adoption of the software stages.

  • Conclusion and management of contracts between Software Intensive Systems and the Distributors.

  • To make recommendations for the optimization of the Software Intensive Systems program for sales partners.

  • Draft, publish and implement a 12-month development plan for each distributor.

  • Monitoring and maintaining new leads and sales opportunities for channel partner licenses in the CRM system.

  • Support lead, acquisition and opportunity development.

  • Managing Brand Communications for Distributors – Maintaining content on websites and social networks, as well as writing press releases.

  • You have a degree in an economic field such as (technical) business administration, business informatics, industrial engineering or a comparable degree or have the relevant professional experience

  • At least you have min. 3 years of experience in sales and marketing, ideally software channel or in the automotive industry

  • You have excellent organizational, presentation and moderation skills

  • You have excellent written and spoken English skills.
