Wabtec US Rail, Inc. dba Wabtec Corporation seeks Senior Software Quality Engineer in Erie, PA.

• Lead operating rhythm to improve software First Pass Yield (FPY);

• Act as a gatekeeper for the software releases;

• Responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of process effectiveness and efficiency;

• Help define consistent interfaces within the controls & software team as well as teams externally like systems, Project mgmt., program mgmt., integrate processes with current business processes to drive consistency;

• Develop and maintain metrics / measurement system for continuous improvement;

• Support continuous product and process improvement through detailed failure analysis for non-conformances, and investigates, develops and implements effective and compliantsolutions for product or process corrections, retrospective and remediation action plans, and for corrective and preventive actions (CAPA Program);

• Lead, develop, communicate & implement a strategy to ensure compliance with procedures;

• Ensure process compliance through the development of comprehensive procedures, work instructions, flowcharts, forms, templates, checklists, worksheets, training and other product and process related documentation;

• Ensure quality process and regulatory compliance in the spirit of documented procedures for all aspects of functional responsibility

This position supervises 1 subordinate employee in the role of Senior Quality Assurance Leader

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field plus 6 years of experience.

Required experience must include any amount of experience in all of the following:

• Root cause analysis using QC tools.

• Contributing to process documentation in-line with the organizational process,

• Automotive SPICE (ISO 15504).

• CMMi Standard and Audit.

• Agile (scrum) implementation.

• SW Process audits.
