Responsibilities:

• Check schedules and organize patient flow to ensure a smooth and efficient operation within the clinic.

• Accompany patients to exam or procedure rooms, providing assistance as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, and specimen collection.

• Collect patient information and history, take vital signs, and perform screenings according to provider guidelines, relaying instructions to patients and their families.

• Send and receive patient medical records in compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulations, ensuring confidentiality is maintained.

• Prepare patient rooms and set up instruments and equipment according to department protocols, while also cleaning between patient visits to uphold infection control standards.

• Manage the inventory of supplies by restocking exam and procedure rooms, ensuring all necessary materials are readily available.

• Perform phlebotomy, EKGs, and level one labs, assisting physicians with procedures and documenting patient information accurately in the medical record.

• Answer calls, provide relevant information, and assist with patient education as directed, while also scheduling appointments and verifying insurance coverage and demographics.

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must have basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic and treatment room responsibilities

Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire
