QuickStaff Lead Processing Technician in Erie, Pennsylvania
SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting the Shift Supervisor with the production, quality, personnel, and maintenance of his/her assigned shift.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Overall production, quality, and efficiencies of the assigned shift
- Corrective action on conditions affecting production, quality, and efficiencies of assigned shift
- Communication and documentation to responsible departments and/or personnel on conditions affecting production, quality, and efficiency
- Assist in the development of new or changed products/processes, including the documentation of process changes
- Document production history of assigned shift for evaluation by supervisor
- Perform mold set-ups, start-ups, shut downs and samplings, as scheduled
Processing and/or troubleshooting in order to assure that quality products are being produced
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Assist with maintenance tasks when the need arises
- Assist fellow employees when the need arises (e.g., material handling, press operations, etc.)
Perform any other duties as directed by the Shift Supervisor and/or management personnel
*QUALIFICATIONS *

- Product knowledge
- Processing skills
- Knowledge of mold construction
- Able to provide problem solving ideas
- Basic knowledge of auxiliary equipment
Basic knowledge of ISO and applicable quality, automotive, industry standards
*EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE *
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) plus three or more years experience in molding production; preferably in a product line comparable to PMI's.
*LANGUAGE SKILLS *
Must be able to:
- Read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and safety rules
- Document information on applicable forms, reports and correspondence of the nature related to this position
Speak effectively before customer representatives and employees of PMI
*MATHEMATICAL SKILLS *
Able to:
- Add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
- Compute rates, ratios and percentages
Prepare and interpret performance / measurement graphs.
*REASONING ABILITY *
Able to
- Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of tangible and intangible variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written text, oral, diagram or schedule form.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. On occasion the employee must be able to lift or move packages weighing approximately 100 pounds or greater.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat.
