This position will provide clinical, and administrative leadership for Physician Enterprise (PE) Hospital and Ambulatory Radiology Programs in CommonSpirit Health (CSH), and is responsible for performance in the areas of quality, patient experience, provider engagement and medical education. This role will seek to create a consistently exceptional experience for patients receiving radiology services, and clinicians providing Radiology services in Radiology programs staffed and or operated by the Physician Enterprise across CommonSpirit Health Facilities. This position is responsible for creation and the adoption of best clinical practices in Radiology across the enterprise for employed and contracted providers through innovation, measurement and standardization. Responsibilities include development and

implementation of standardized Radiology documentation tools as well as clinical and operational software tools for promoting quality, safety, optimized revenue cycles and efficient staffing.

This position will also provide supervision, clinical leadership, development and mentoring for CommonSpirit Health PE Radiology program physician leaders. The position will collaborate with leaders from across CSH to create tools, programs and services which will be adopted by CSH Radiology programs that support best practices, performance improvement, and overall program performance. This position consults with divisional and facility leadership in evaluation of employed Radiology Programs for improvement opportunities. The System VP of PE Radiology Clinical Operations is a key member of the CommonSpirit Health clinical leadership team, directly interacting with executive leaders across the organization and contributing to the ministry becoming a system of choice through an integrated operating organization with a culture built on relationships, trust and teamwork. This role will make significant contributions to the development and implementation of a systems approach within the Physician Enterprise and CommonSpirit Health at large to achieving quality, patient experience and employee engagement and goals. This position works collaboratively with system and division interdisciplinary teams to lead the development of Radiology clinical and operational standards across CommonSpirit.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides leadership and development opportunities for PE Radiology Clinical Operations physician leaders.

  • Promotes a culture of collaboration and team based care among the providers, medical and hospital staff, and partner physicians and APPs within their respective PE medical group.

  • Engages physicians, senior leaders and subject matter experts in the development and implementation of operational and clinical best practices.

  • In collaboration with regional and market specific PE Radiology Program Clinical Leaders develops Radiology Clinical and Operational KPIs and KPI reporting for all CSH PE Radiology programs.

  • Together with subject matter experts and system regional and market leadership leadership, creates and implements tools, programs and services in support of Radiology program clinical excellence, including acting as a liaison for those implementations involving the information technology team.

  • Provides expertise and assistance with strategic investment decisions and implementations related to PACS, Radiology Information Systems, Dictation Systems, and Artificial Intelligence for work-flow management and diagnostics and other Radiology imaging and storage /processing equipment and information technology solutions to operate successful Radiology programs.

  • Is responsible for PE Radiology Program performance including clinical quality, patient experience, provider experience and medical education.

  • Collaborates closely on all topics and projects with divisional and CSH leadership and subject matter experts.

  • Monitors Radiology program KPIs at the division and facility level and partners with divisional leadership on PE Radiology program improvement.

  • Leads PE Radiology program evaluations and partners with divisional and facility leadership on program improvements.

  • Provides direction, expertise, leadership, education, vision, and strategic resources to CommonSpirit Health ministries.

  • Leads the organization in the identification of Radiology program goals and the development of strategies for implementation and adoption to ensure organizational improvements and outcomes are achieved.

  • Together with Regional and Market PE Radiology Program Medical Directors, engages physicians, key senior leaders and subject matter experts in the development and implementation of APMP initiatives to adopt evidence-based clinical and operational practices

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Medical degree required; board certification in Radiology or applicable specialty.

  • Master’s or Post Graduate Degree in Health-care Administration, Business Administration or related field preferred.Minimum 10 years of Radiology experience and 7 years of progressively responsible physician leadership experience in Radiology program management.. Exceptional track record of achievement in quality, stewardship, patient experience, provider engagement and medical education while leading physician practices.

Required Licensure and Certifications

  • Medical Degree, state medical licensure and Board Certification with on-going maintenance of any time-limited certifications.

Position is eligible for incentive pay based on company performance.

Pay Range

$141.26 - $197.77 /hour
