Job Duties and Responsibilities
This Data Analyst position is with the Performance Optimization team within the Customer Experience Operations (CXO) organization. This team supports the Billing & Credit department initiatives by developing and maintaining recurring and ad hoc reports using multiple database systems and Tableau. We are looking for a self-starter who will be able to handle a fast-paced environment with often changing and competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert who understands the processes they are reporting on and the impact of those processes on the business
Build reporting dashboards that provide insights to department leaders and business analysts, helping them keep a pulse on metrics and alerting them to anomalies
Strategic collaborators involved early on in shaping the project and vetting the ROI
Storytellers who have a seat at the table with our customers when the project is complete and serve up data/metrics to drive performance
Data-driven decision-making advocates who establish the source of truth consensus and pair business knowledge with data outputs to serve up insights that drive DISH forward
Peer leaders/best practice ambassadors who learn from and bring others up with us across the org
Innovators and problem solvers who thrive in ambiguity
Your typical day will consist of:
Identifying outliers and root causes of problems and developing plans for improvement
Using conclusions to lead other departments within the company on process improvement
Performing proactive analysis for a wide variety of teams and projects
Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on initiatives and issues
Building automated daily, weekly, and monthly reports for a variety of groups and individuals using Tableau
Creating project plans and deadlines that are reasonable and customer-focused
Providing on-call support for report and database issues
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience:
BS in a quantitative field such as statistics, data science, or business analytics (MS or MBA is preferred) or relevant experience
3+ years of experience in a data analytics role
Skills and Qualifications:
Strong SQL skills in writing complex queries in multiple syntaxes
Demonstrate a high level of self-sufficiency by independently creating solutions to technical problems and business process challenges that arise
Experience with creating extracts and visualizations in Tableau or similar tools such as Power BI, Looker, Plotly/Dash
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to write reports and procedure documents
Capacity to deliver a technical message to a non-technical audience
Excellent quantitative and analytical abilities, with proficiency in mathematical concepts
Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail
Requires on-call support for report and database issues

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
