Job Title: Quality Inspector

Job Description

Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements. Provides objective evidence of results. Performs auditing, surveillance, and monitoring. Identifies and documents discrepancies. Segregates and controls non-conforming items. Performs preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance. Conducts product review with customer during product or process verification. Identifies repetitive or significant non-conformances and initiates requests for corrective action. Under limited supervision, inspects incoming parts/material, outgoing orders verify that certification is correct, checks parts for processing, check special orders, daily use of micrometers, gauge controls, calipers, indicators, etc. Provides mentorship throughout the Inspection team.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conducts dimensional inspections per design record and documented AQL levels; conducts visual inspections for obvious defects.

  • Review and disposition all certification documentation to meet traceability requirements per AS9100 and Company Quality standards; communicate with vendor as needed. Disposition and control of non-conforming product.

  • Obtain and maintain Customer Designated Supplier Quality Representative Stamps for at least three customers (or as applicable by Site size); active use of stamps required.

  • Review and approval of First Articles from suppliers.

  • Identify and communicate opportunities to increase inspector productivity and assist with RCCA activities pertaining to Inspection. Assist in internal, customer, and third-party audits.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Enfield, Connecticut.

Work Environment

Office environment within a warehouse - air conditioned, very clean and well organized

Regular hours 7am - 4pm, 8am – 5pm
