Description
A leading nonprofit organization is seeking a highly organized and professional Temporary Executive Assistant to support its senior leadership team. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong administrative background, excellent communication skills, and a passion for making a difference in the nonprofit sector.
As an Executive Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and productivity of the leadership team by handling a variety of administrative, logistical, and project-based tasks. This is a full-time, temporary role expected to last 6 months with the possibility of an extension based on organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-level administrative support to the Executive Director and other key executives.
Manage complex calendars, including scheduling meetings, coordinating appointments, and resolving scheduling conflicts.
Handle email correspondence, ensuring follow-up on important communications.
Prepare presentations, reports, agendas, meeting minutes, and other documentation as needed.
Coordinate travel arrangements, including booking flights, accommodations, and transportation.
Act as a liaison between internal teams, external stakeholders, and the executive team.
Assist with planning and logistics for board meetings, events, and fundraising initiatives.
Organize and maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems.
Conduct research and compile data to support decision-making processes.
Ensure confidential handling of sensitive information.
Requirements
Experience: 3-5 years of experience as an Executive Assistant or similar administrative role, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
Education: Associate degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and familiarity with virtual meeting tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams).
Organization: Exceptional multitasking, time management, and organizational skills.
Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Professionalism: Ability to interact effectively with high-level executives, board members, and stakeholders.
Adaptability: Comfortable functioning in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
