Robert Half Financial Analyst in Elmwood Park, New Jersey

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Financial Analyst in Elmwood Park, New Jersey, United States. In this role, you'll be instrumental in managing financial tools, strategies, and reports for a portfolio of student housing real estate assets. You'll analyze financial data to create actionable insights, maintain financial records, and support the decision-making process.

Responsibilities:

• Analyzing various financial data, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows, to identify trends, investigate anomalies, and uncover improvement opportunities

• Developing and implementing annual budgets for multiple assets across various markets

• Monitoring and forecasting the flow of funds between ownership and property

• Collaborating with leasing and marketing teams to provide data-driven insights into overall goal attainment

• Interpreting and reporting on any funding or loan status/liabilities

• Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data within financial systems

• Evaluating the current financial budgeting processes and identifying areas for streamlining and efficiency

• Implementing process improvements to enhance the operations of the financial department

• Preparing regular budget analysis reports for management and stakeholders

• Conducting ad-hoc financial analysis and generating reports as needed

• Contributing to financial forecasting and variance analysis

• Providing training and support to end-users of financial systems, ensuring their proficiency in using financial software for strategic decision-making. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Functions is required.

• Must have an understanding of Budget Processes.

• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are essential.

• Experience in Budgeting and Forecasting is necessary.

• Ability to conduct Financial Analysis is crucial.

• Must have experience in Variance Analysis.
