Overview

Salary Range - $65K - $90K based on experience plus annual performance incentive as earned

Shift Start Time - 4AM

The Transportation Manager (Private Fleet) is responsible for the implementation, execution and ongoing oversight of the transportation strategy with regard to achieving the desired level of service, quality and cost established for the company and market for which they manage. Accountable for improving quality and reducing cost in support of supply chain mission. This position provides management oversight of our satellite, front line supervision of loaders and drivers, and responsible for building operations. Specific responsibilities include day-to-day management of private fleet including the review and approval of payments for services; evaluation of routing criteria; reducing cycle time and cycle time variability with inbound & outbound deliveries and meeting or exceeding the service metrics established for the market.

Qualifications

Requires 4 – 6 years experience with Final Mile pickup/deliver, Logistics, Warehouse Supervision (Direct front line management of drivers/loaders) or Supply Chain analytics. Must have ability to communicate, persuade and influence others as well as the ability to present data in a concise and proficient manner.
