Adecco Search is actively recruiting for a dynamic, results oriented Plant Supervisor in Elmira, New York. Our client is a family owned and operated company that is growing! The Plant Supervisor will be responsible for the effective operation of the manufacturing department including quality and quantity of work, safety, scheduling/performing routine maintenance of equipment and meeting schedule requirements. The Plant Supervisor is an A-Shift role and will report to the VP of Maufacturing.

Job Duties for the Plant Supervisor in Elmira, NY:

-Reviews production reports and time sheets.

-Assigns employees to machines and tasks to achieve schedules.

-Responsible for all administrative paperwork: time off requests, absentee reports, shift changes.

-Provides training in department procedures, machine operation and other tasks.

-Responsible for Continious Improvement initiatives.

-Trains employees in safe work practices and procedures.

-Evaluates the performance of employees on a scheduled basis and when needed to document deficiencies and exceptional work.

-Takes action in disciplinary matters including suspension in serious matters and referral of the situation to the Division Manager.

-Responsible for maintaining an injury free work environment in the department.

-Interviews, evaluates and recommends candidates for job openings and participates in determining the selection of employees.

-Coordinates production with other shifts and departments.

Job Requirements for the Plant Supervisor in Elmira, NY:

-Bachelor Degree in Engineering.

-5 plus years of previous supervisory experience in manufacturing.

-Strong Leadership skills.

-Strong Mechanical aptitude.

-Thermoforming process experience A PLUS.

-Microsoft expxerience.

-ERP experience.
