Job Description

SUMMARY:

The Asset Protection Supervisor is a working supervisor who leads Asset Protection Specialists and works closely with other departments including Environmental, Health & Safety, and Human Resources to ensure they meet organizational standards and processes. In addition to standard daily protection duties, the APS will be responsible for training new hires and ensuring that all Team Members uphold the values of Kennedy Valve, along with managing the workflow of their team, creating team schedules ,and delegating tasks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise the daily operations of the Asset Protection Department (APD).
  • Provide a safe and secure environment for visitors, contractors, and KV team members.
  • As a forward-facing representative of Kennedy Valve, provide high quality customer service to everyone.
  • Monitor Alarms (Filter Sense and G3), notify Environmental/Foundry Maintenance when there are alarms.
  • Monitor and manage physical security system.
  • Log and track alarms on an Excel Spreadsheet.
  • Track and log waste movement in and out of the plant, and process associated paperwork.
  • Collect and sign truck material paperwork.
  • Check Environmental emergency equipment during plant rounding.
  • Act as a First Responder when needed and assist in coordinating emergency response when required.
  • Train Asset Protection Team Members and manage the daily schedule/duties of the APD.
Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • Previous experience in supervising Asset Protection, Security, Law Enforcement, or other related field, 1-3 years preferred.
  • Excellent leadership skills and interpersonal skills; professional in appearance and presentation; able to deal with stress and potential conflict situations.
  • Strong attention to detail; excellent organizational and communication skills; and strong written/verbal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with Team Members.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and embraces a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Must be willing to occasionally work rotating shift hours when needed (1st-2nd shift), though position is primarily 1st shift.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and always follow all safety rules and procedures.
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office products.
Additional Information

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Standing or sitting at a desk for long periods of time, walking throughout the facility, and the ability to handle up to 50lbs as required.
  • Exposed to elements, such as cold, heat, noise, dust, odors, fumes, etc.
  • Work time is spent primarily inside the main entrance building, with rounding on the manufacturing floor and KV

grounds; occasional tasks and interactions outdoors.
