The Software & Application Developer creates and updates applications that support Bennington’s business needs, as well as assists with the migration to a new ERP. This position requires the ability to solve complex problems, effective communication at all levels of the organization, and a customer service mindset.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

· Assist with migration of custom Manufacturing Execution System into new ERP’s database.

· Customize ERP screens using existing toolset for better business integration.

· Collaborate with team to develop applications as defined by business’ needs.

· Cooperate across departments to improve user interaction with existing applications.

· Accurately document programming and code changes.

· Standardize and document code.

· Update libraries and standardize usage across applications.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field

• One to three years of experience in software development

• Proven experience with OOP languages (Java, C++, VB.NET)

• Familiarity with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and AJAX

• Direct experience with Agile software development methodologies a plus

Non-technical

• Thrives in a fast-paced environment with multiple project assignments

• Strong written and verbal communication.

• Ability to effectively communicate with non-technical audience.

• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
