Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Elk Grove Village, Illinois

Description We are in need of a Customer Service Representative to join our team in the Waste, Refuse & Environmental Waste Management industry. Based in Elk Grove Village, Illinois, this role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be tasked with a variety of duties, ranging from processing customer requests to maintaining accurate records and navigating customer disputes.

Responsibilities:

• Handle customer inquiries, both over the phone and in person, ensuring a high level of customer service at all times.

• Process orders for services including installation, activation, discontinuation, or modification.

• Maintain a thorough record of customer interactions, documenting relevant information into the computer system.

• Work collaboratively with other departments to address and resolve customer disputes.

• Conduct customer interviews to gather necessary information and ensure accurate record keeping.

• Regularly monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions as needed.

• Perform general office duties, including key word orders, bank deposits, and data entry tasks.

• Address complaints regarding billing or service rendered, directing service failure complaints to the relevant departments for investigation.

• Strive to deliver high-quality services to customers, promoting goodwill and customer satisfaction.

• Seek cost-effective, safe, and environmentally friendly solutions to address service issues. Requirements • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

• Experience in a call center customer service role

• Ability to handle both inbound and outbound calls efficiently

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to resolve customer inquiries

• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail

• Ability to manage email correspondence professionally and promptly

• Experience with order entry systems

• Ability to schedule appointments effectively

• Comfortable with answering inbound calls and providing solutions to customer queries

• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
