Job Title: Quality Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting data, overseeing inspections, programming CMM or VMM machines, utilizing quality technology, and contributing to problem-solving processes. You will also brainstorm corrective action solutions and work under the direction of the Quality Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Collect data and oversee inspections

• Program CMM or VMM machines

• Utilize quality technology (training provided)

• Assist in problem-solving processes

• Brainstorm and implement corrective action solutions

• Follow directions from the Quality Engineer

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude

• Blueprint reading

• GD&T experience

• Experience using height stands

• Root Cause Analysis experience

• Lean Six Sigma knowledge

• PLMs experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• ISO 9001 experience preferred

• Yellow/Green belt in Six Sigma preferred

• Associate's degree preferred

• Interest in the firearms industry

• Tenacious, inquisitive, and critical thinking skills

Work Environment

The work environment is primarily on the floor (80-90%). Structured hours are from 7am-3:15pm. The facility is very clean, well-lit, and has been updated within the last 15 years. Candidates may be frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and will work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level can be loud at times, but the environment maintains a family-like atmosphere.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eldridge, Iowa.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
