Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler

Job Description

This individual will be responsible for building out pallets for canned dry goods to be shipped from the warehouse. The role involves picking, packing, and building out pallets based on client orders in a large distribution center. The successful candidate will operate a stand-up forklift in a fast-paced production environment, moving from one location to the next to customize each pallet according to client specifications. A headset will guide the operator on what items to pick and where to go in the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Build pallets for canned dry goods to be shipped from the warehouse.

• Pick, pack, and build out pallets based on client orders.

• Operate a stand-up forklift in a fast-paced production environment.

• Move from one location to the next on the forklift to customize each pallet.

• Use a headset to receive instructions on what to pick and where to go in the warehouse.

Essential Skills

• Forklift operation

• Order picking and packing

• Experience with stand-up forklifts

• General labor skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must be able to stand on their feet for up to 8-10 hours a day

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively

• Minimum 6 months of forklift experience or over 1 year in a fast-paced warehouse environment

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Eldridge, Iowa.
