Job Title: Experienced CNC Programmer
Job Description
We are expanding our operations and in need of an experienced CNC Programmer for the 1st shift at our Eldridge, Iowa location. Join our dynamic team and take your career to the next level in a growing company within the booming steel industry.
First shift – Monday through Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm with OT as needed.
Responsibilities
Generate machine language to convert customer supplied piece part documents into finished parts
Program parts for processing on all equipment
Create piece part super nests to improve material utilization
Make adjustments to drawings based on customer needs, equipment downtime, and operator feedback
Manage customer satisfaction and quality with a 98% on-time delivery requirement
Spend approximately 40% of your day on the production floor working with operators to gather feedback and seek opportunities for improvement
Perform all other duties as assigned, with responsibilities and activities potentially changing at any time with or without notice
Essential Skills
Minimum 1-3 years of experience operating CNC vertical machining centers
Working knowledge of FANUC & Mazatrol controllers
Proficiency in SolidWorks, nesting software, and understanding of G and M codes as related to vertical machining centers
Advanced math skills with the ability to calculate feeds and speeds
Knowledge of and ability to use tape measure, micrometer, and caliper
Forklift and/or overhead crane experience
Work Environment
Our facility offers a large, well-lit shop environment with a focus on manufacturing rather than a warehouse style. The team is small and close-knit, ensuring that you won't just be a number here. Please note that the atmosphere can be very dirty, but we believe in maintaining a productive and positive work culture.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $34.00
