Summary: Responsible for the preparation and posting of the Company\'s various general ledger activity, preparations of reconciliations and investment duties. Perform a variety of routine accounting duties according to existing procedures and methods. Assist other accounting personnel as necessary.

Responsibilities: include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Prepare and post subsidiaries activity, including cash receipts, journal entries, general ledger, cash disbursements and general ledger reconciliations as well as all required reports.
  • Maintain subsidiary schedules that support and reconcile to control accounts or control activities.

{=html} <!-- --> - Record entries into general ledger and print out various general ledger reports. - Assist in ensuring data for various software programs, including general ledger, fixed assets, accounts payable, and prepaid are properly entered or recorded. - Maintain and file sales tax reports. - Maintain 1099 reporting for subsidiaries. - Assist in preparation of sales tax audits and accounts payable audits. - Receive and post entries for checking and dividend accounts, reconcile accounts and prepare various reports. - Assist with investment duties and activities as required. - Review bank deposit accounts and perform reconciliation of accounts. - Assist with research, audits and exams as necessary. - Accurately key or scan document data into imaging equipment, ensuring all information is properly filed, indexed and cross-referenced through electronic means. - Ensure that electronic records are properly maintained, archived and stored according to established policies and regulations. - Assist with various accounts payable duties, including review and input of invoices, processing of checks, sales tax reporting and research of invoice questions. - Assist with lease accounting. - Assist with performing reconciliations of various balance sheet accounts. - Provide support to other areas of the Accounting Department as necessary.

Education/Experience:

  • Associates degree with one to three years of experience in accounting or bank related field.
  • Bachelors degree preferred.

  • Ability to use a calculator, computer and applicable software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Outlook and Excel.
