We are seeking an experienced Space Systems Senior Acquisition Specialist to support Space Systems Command Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (SSC/SZ) portfolio. The position is available in El Segundo, California.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Perform space acquisitions and technical advice and assistance for all projects and programs, as required, to support any stage of the acquisition life cycle.
Assist with management of the portfolio by providing information, advice, and recommendations for the effective alignment of portfolio acquisitions, manpower, and funding
Assist the Government on planning and coordinating infrastructure projects and requirements.
Develop policies and procedures to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the acquisition process
Prepare periodic status reports, coordinate and execute periodic staff meetings and technical interchange meetings, and develop acquisition plans, schedules, and executive program briefings.
Advise and assist digital engineering initiatives for acquisition, sustainment, and launch

-Experienced in performing acquisition management activities related to contracting, legal, policy, and budget reviews, contracting, finance and compliance in the government (military and/or civil servant), federally funded research and development center, or profit/non-profit government support/development Contractor arena, of which six years shall include duties/assignments specifically in support of the Department of Defense.
Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and writing) skills.
Must have experience in using critical thinking to prepare written reports and presentations for decision makers.
MUST HAVE AT A MINIMUM, A CURRENT TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE AND BE ABLE TO OBTAIN A TS/SCI CLEARANCE, FOR WHICH YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN.
