Overview

The Manager, Paid Social and Search is the day-to-day steward of biddable, auction-based media for assigned brands and is responsible for leading campaign development, activation, optimization, and innovation. The Manager is expected to apply paid social and search mastery to deliver against the client(s) goals. They will work closely with their Associate Director and Director in the development and communication of all strategy while owning tactical execution. In addition, the Manager is responsible for day-to-day management of the Social and or Search Analyst(s), including both project management to ensure timely delivery of tasks and career development.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to account strategy including annual budget development, KPIs, partner selection, new tactics, and tracking industry developments

  • Direct and manage daily workflows for all paid social and search campaigns

  • Gather the research and data needed to formulate tactical plan development and recommendation for client delivery

  • Lead client relationship with day to day contact and partner agencies (where applicable) by ensuring a seamless communication process

  • Provide direction to Analyst(s) to conduct research necessary to build a new campaign

  • Manage, QA and oversee trafficking of approved plan into social and search platforms

  • Manage and maintain oversight of budget and billing activity (pacing, Prisma management, draft billing, accuracy of budgets vs. strategy flowcharts)

  • Manage and oversee Analyst(s) management of campaign budgets, pacing, and bid adjustments

  • Develop and recommend optimizations and/or testing plans

  • Compile data, analyze and draft insights and recommendations for recurring reporting deliverables

  • Pull data and research components needed for new business pitches

  • Contribute to development of agency level POVs on industry happenings

  • Primary party responsible for customization of agency POVs for individual clients

  • Understands the complex cause and effect patterns that may underlie issues and/or opportunities and thinks beyond the obvious to come up with creative solutions

  • Budget and performance projections for testing new social and search partners or technology

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of biddable media experience across Paid Social and or Search ideally in an agency environment

  • Experience across performance platforms including, but not limited to, Meta, Google Ads, SA360,

  • Demonstrated expertise in core MS Excel functions (vlookup, pivot tables, data visualization)

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Presentation skills are a must

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills

  • Excellent project management and organization skills

  • Ability to work successfully with teams on multiple projects under tight deadlines

  • Proven leadership ability

  • Demonstrates initiative/”hunger” and willingness to learn

  • Collaborative approach/attitude

  • Certifications in social platforms (Twitter Flight School (X), Facebook Blueprint) highly preferred

  • Experience in social SAS preferred - i.e. 4C

Compensation Range: $73,910 - $111,320 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
