DIRECTV is seeking a highly experienced technical leader with extensive experience in IT architecture for large scale systems. This senior-level individual contributor role is instrumental in shaping our technology strategy for the future. The successful candidate will be a cornerstone in understanding business visions and strategies, crafting IT target architecture, and roadmaps across multiple domains, with a keen emphasis on the integration and advancement new evolving technologies. This hands-on role will access maturity of innovative new technologies and choose technology and usage. The Lead will consolidate architecture roadmaps from different domains and communicate with senior leadership and executives on architecture roadmaps. This role will also help the team leaders present architectural vision for different domains in a consolidated fashion.

As the Lead Enterprise Solution Architect, you will work and collaborate with critical stakeholders to understand business needs, priority, and the quality of services to be created or enhanced. Some examples include:

• Develop architecture roadmaps, standards and guidelines, providing expertise in multiple domains in the media distribution business.

• Work closely with various groups (sales, product management, operations, etc.) and other engineering organizations across DIRECTV.

• Understand and identify the business need and pain points and work with the other architecture teams to define the strategy to address those needs and pain points.

• Define functional, performance, and reliability requirements to ensure the solution can support the size and scale of the business.

• Stay at the forefront of technological advancements and apply cutting-edge solutions to drive our business forward.

• Communicate with senior leadership and executives, articulating architecture roadmaps and the strategic integration of innovative technologies into business operations.

What you’ll need to be successful:

• IT Architecture experience: 7 years +, with a total IT experience of over 12 years.

• Deep understanding of the Media Distribution space and different architecture domains.

• Proven track record as a technical leader in large-scale system architecture, architecture roadmap with a focus on innovation and the practical application of new technologies.

• Impactful track record of creating architecture strategy and strategic mindset with the ability to be a thought leader.

• Working Knowledge of Enterprise platforms like Salesforce, Genesys, Snowflake, Databricks, Tealium, Mulesoft and Confluent Kafka, Workday, Oracle EBS etc.

• May require a background check due to job duties requiring routine access to DIRECTV and DIRECTV customer’s proprietary data. Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction will be considered for employment in accordance with local ordinances and state law.

• Ability to see the “big picture”, as well as detailed analysis.

• Create data driven narrative and communicate effectively and precisely to different audiences.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (at the product and technical levels).

• High level engineering requirements.

• Solution and Enterprise architecture.

• 3rd party product evaluation.

• Safe agile methodology.

This position requires, but is not limited to, 10% travel.

DIRECTV's compensation structure is designed to be market-competitive and fully supports efforts to attract and retain employees. It is the company's policy to offer pay that is competitive with other employers in the local market. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

The Base Salary range displayed below reflects the minimum and maximum target salary for each of DIRECTV's 4 (four) US Labor Market Zones. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

DIRECTV WAGE ZONES $154,850 - $281,060

Low (N1): $154,850 - $232,180

Mid (N2): $163,000 - $244,400

High (N3): $179,300 - $268,840

Top (N4): $187,450 - $281,060
