Job Description

Teledyne Controls is seeking an Aircraft Condition Monitoring System (ACMS) Developer to develop hardware and software for high-reliability embedded systems onboard commercial aircraft. Products include aircraft data acquisition, wireless data transfer, and networked systems. You will be responsible for modifying, developing, and testing programs for user applications using C/C++/Python/AMTAL and other languages. You will design systems solutions by studying use cases, analyzing systems flow, and investigating problem areas under the guidance of senior engineers in a hands-on, continuous integration environment. This position includes performing lab tests, managing software configurations, and exposure to a wide variety of software debugging, code updates, and regression tests.

Responsibilities:

  • Writes software code and completes programming for graphical user interfaces and may write firmware for embedded processes as required.

  • Performs design, analysis and verification testing of a functional component (e.g., applications, software and embedded module) for new product design.

  • Participates in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing, debugging, and certification of software.

  • Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.

  • May perform simulations, systems modeling and analysis in designing compilers, assemblers, and utility programs.

  • Advises hardware designers on machine characteristics that may affect software systems.

  • Provides inputs for documentation of new or existing programs.

  • May interface with users to define system requirements or necessary modifications.

  • Briefs others on deliverables, status, and progress.

  • Provides application support to other departments and personnel as needed.

  • Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.

  • May prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.

  • Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.

  • Daily availability to include evenings and weekends when necessary to reach goals and deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from four-year college or university in a related field and 0-2 years of directly related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience developing and testing programs using C, C++, and/or Python.

  • Working knowledge of various communication protocols such as ETHERNET/TCPIP/UDP/SERIAL/ARINC.

  • Basic Knowledge of database design MYSQL.

  • Must be a US Person due to access to ITAR-Controlled Technical Data.

Salary Range:

$60,500.00-$80,850.000
