SAIC Chief Platform Architect in EL SEGUNDO, California
Description
SAIC is seeking a Chief Platform Architect to serve as a subject matter expert (SME) to advise on a solution for DevSecOps Platform and Space C2 Enablement in support of Operational C2 Acquisition Delta priorities to deliver integrated Ops Space C2 capabilities. You will play a crucial role in providing recommendations to deliver integrated Ops Space Command and Control (C2) capabilities.
This position is based in El Segundo, California. Support from other locations may be considered based on candidate qualifications.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Design and develop the core integration platform and roadmap for our project from end to end. This will include design, documentation, and briefings to senior leaders and stakeholders to drive stability, resiliency, scalability, and flexibility into the Space C2 systems architecture
Seamlessly enable all other components to provide a holistic capability in support of the Government Program Office priorities, additional Operational C2 lines of effort (LOEs), developers, products, and end-users
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to meet certification and accreditation requirements.
Collaborate with subject matter experts in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for storage, processing, presentation, manipulation, display or reporting for both mission unique and commercial software
Provide Integrated Product Support, with a focus on identifying, developing, implementing, incentivizing, and measuring quantifiable best value outcome-based product support solutions that optimize Life-Cycle Cost
Assist the government with transition from prototype software systems to scalable enterprise microservice enabled applications ready for operational units
Sustain the development and refinement of acquisition strategies, as well as identify program execution issues and provide recommendations when possible
Perform analyses of program business cases and risk assessments. Offer actionable recommendations to the program manager
Communicate technical strategy regarding infrastructure, platform, data, and application development to contractors, external stakeholders, program managers, and senior government leadership
Lead efforts to achieve DoD cloud certification and accreditation, ensuring compliance with security frameworks such as DoD Impact Level 4/5/6
Monitor and assess impact of evolving compliance requirements on enterprise cloud architecture
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and 18 years of experience; Master’s Degree and 12 years of experience; PhD and 9 years of experience with implementing large scale, highly-available, complex platform solutions
Active Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Program access, as well as a willingness to consent to a polygraph examination
In-depth understanding of higher-level technical goals matching business in terms of redundancy, resiliency, cost, etc.
Experience in supporting and/or managing technical programs throughout the software engineering life cycle
Experience designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining complex cloud applications at enterprise scale
Experience using containers and container management platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Online Services, and/or Active Directory
Desired Experience:
Experience of setting up and leading Agile development and with Confluence, JIRA and or smart sheets
Experience with design of scalable, resilient, and secure cloud architectures, leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and modern DevSecOps practices
Experience with integration of advanced capabilities, such as Zero Trust Architecture, identity management, and automated security monitoring
Experience with development of metrics and dashboards to monitor cloud environment performance
Target salary range: $200,001 - $240,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
