Major/Essential Functions:
This position is required to complete the planned transition of responsibility for academic space reservations management from IT to the Office of Academic Affairs.
Operational/functional administrator of the institutional room reservation system (currently EMS).
Coordinates and leads meetings related to academic space reservations management and ensures compliance with reservation timelines as specified per institutional policy (see HSCEP OP 61.23).
Meets and/or otherwise communicates as necessary to meet with educational program administrators and other academic space reservations stakeholders to resolve conflicts and optimize space assignments based on availability and institutional priorities.
Meets and/or communicates as necessary with facilities managers, classroom support personnel, and other relevant administrators to ensure coordination of the reservation system with facilities issues/challenges as may sporadically arise.
Monitors user/client compliance with academic space reservations policies (particularly in potential abuse and/or loss of shared capacity).
Monitors and generates reports regarding academic space utilization and reservation system effectiveness.
Works collaboratively with Information Technology (IT) as necessary to troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues relating to the academic space reservation systems (such as updates, bugs, configuration and/or integration concerns, and the like).
Works collaboratively with administrators and other relevant stakeholders on reservation system optimization initiatives, including as may interface with institutional enterprise management systems (such as Ellucian Banner).
Assists Office of Academic Affairs with duties related to academic systems documentation and support as assigned.
Adheres to all policies, procedures and practices (Regents Rules, TTUS, HSECEP OPs, etc.).
Personally demonstrates, displays and acts in accordance with TTUHSC EP's Values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Serves as a Value's leader while actively promoting and encouraging staff across the institution.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in education or in a systems management-related field of study such as business administration or information technology.
Three to five years of educational or business systems implementation, configuration, and support.
Previous experience effectively utilizing Microsoft Office applications (including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Familiarity with room reservation/space management systems (i.e., EMS and Archibus).
Demonstrated understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and ingenuity in dealing with day-to-day operations issues.
Demonstrated ability to build relationships, work in a team setting and communicate effectively; and interact professionally within a culturally diverse setting at all institutional levels.
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgement and decision making techniques.
