Eaton Corporation SCM Project Lead in El Paso, Texas

Eaton’s Electrical division is currently seeking a SCM Project Lead to join the team. This role can be based in El Paso with 25% travel or remote within the US with 50% travel.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

This role will lead SCM supplier resiliency and capacity expansion project activities for various divisions within Electrical Sector - Americas. The SCM Project Lead will ensure activities are completed based on the required timeline while managing CAPEX, cost out and other goals and work with other department process owners to complete projects and identify and prioritize opportunities to improve resiliency, productivity, cost, quality, and service. Additionally, you will manage and report project milestones, CAPEX utilization, risks and savings associated.

You will manage Supplier Development for Logistics requirements to ensure on time delivery while driving cost savings for ES-A plants with an immediate focus on the El Paso/Juarez region. In addition, work to drive synergies on Supplier development processes into other Growth areas within ES-A divisions. Essential Functions Include:

SCM Key Projects – Lead SCM supplier resiliency and capacity expansion projects from beginning to end, including defining potential suppliers, target costs and other key constraints, as well as managing RFQ’s and supplier selection, tool and part qualification steps and initial deliveries. Coordinate with other department process owners (Engineering, Production, Operations, Supplier Quality and Finance) as required to execute project activities. Lead, facilitate or execute other SCM related projects for ES-A as required. Coordinate across Divisional Logistics and Procurement ( and GTM as required) to process flow data requirements on Paperwork and Labeling for ongoing CI actions.

Compliance and Best Practice – Leverage standard processes and digital tools to conduct work in the most effective manner. Ensure compliance to all purchasing policies and exhibit excellent Ethical behavior. Baseline supplier performance on Logistics requirements for all Suppliers and validate all instructions and requirements to deploy, monitor and manage.

Drive Results – Lead the identification and management of supplier risk action plans. Drive results related to key performance metrics that may include: Achieving resiliency through dual sourcing, consignment and other means. Achieving sourcing savings and cost competitiveness goals. Minimizing Material Inflation Impact.

Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with El Paso cross dock on the Supplier performance with established goals and accountability for all parties involved. Own Supplier communications with divisional procurement teams and establish escalation processes to meet goals on service and cost. Share best practices on Supplier Development for Logistics Flow across all Growth areas within ES-A and with Corp Logistics, Packaging and GTM.

The ideal candidate brings strong communication skills, including negotiation scenarios. You are able to work on multiple projects simultaneously and have Project Management functional knowledge expertise, combined with a strong process and system thinking mindset, to consistently make quality operational decisions when ambiguity may exist. Continuous improvement and Lean expertise would be beneficial to this role. Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in Supply Chain / Project Management role or similar position

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing

  • Advanced skills in the following: Power BI, MS Project, AS400

  • Experience in controlling costs; materials warehouse; Enovia document control system and / or area of Manufacturing.

  • Spanish language skills. Speaking, reading and writing Spanish would be an asset.
