Job Overview

Troubleshoot and maintain production/mechanical equipment, facilities/equipment and perform other assigned maintenance duties in a timely, safely, and high-quality manner that complies with Facility Services Department standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Repair equipment when malfunctioning. Identify cause of failure and perform necessary tear down, repairs, and reprogramming to restore operations with minimum delay to operations. Also, responsible for equipment moves and set up during reconfiguration of departments. Includes contact with certified vendors and landlord or, call proper contractors to complete tasks

  • Determine and perform preventive maintenance type and frequency needed for machinery to maintain reliable and quality performance or, call proper contractors to complete tasks

  • Evaluate, install, and de-bug new and modified equipment to ensure conformance with machine and product specifications or, call proper contractors to complete tasks.

  • Establish and maintain sufficient inventory of critical and failure prone parts and components to contribute to smooth and rapid completion of maintenance repairs. This can include high runners of packaging material

  • Communicate with appropriate internal departments and outside vendors to obtain parts, services, and support necessary to efficiently complete assigned maintenance tasks

  • Handling and controlling of hazardous materials and hazardous waste

  • Responsible to follow all safety requirements and recommend safety improvements

  • Responsible to drive, improve and measure facilities and maintenance KPI’s. TPM

  • Able to drive material handling equipment and train on the use of these as well as safety standards (internal and external)

What your background should look like:

Education Required

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Associate’s degree (two years) in General Maintenance, Electrician, other.

Experience Required

1-2 years related experience in facilities maintenance activities and - 3 years warehouse environment experience desired.

Communication and Reasoning Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Ability to work 2nd Shift- 3:00PM-11:00PM

COMPENSATION

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $39,520 – $43,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)

• Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.

• Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
