Position Description:
Performs central accounting and financial analysis functions according to established procedures.

Major/Essential Functions:
Responsible for processing invoices in TechBuy and the Uniform Statewide Accounting System (USAS) for all TTUHSC EP departments and maintaining a working knowledge of all rules and regulations from the Texas Comptroller's FMX website.
Interact with departments and vendors on payment-related issues. Collaborate with departments to guide them with payment types and procedures. Monitor the AP Inbox for items assigned. Research and resolve questions from staff, departments, and vendors.
Research discrepancies on state fund entries discovered and correct. Ensure the accuracy of data and comply with established procedures.
Verify the previous day's work for accuracy. Runs daily production reports (FARINVS) and makes necessary corrections.
Verify morning reports to ensure invoices processed the prior day were paid accordingly. Reconcile the daily ePrint reports (FZRUSAS AND FZRUDTL). Address and correct entries as necessary.
Prioritize and schedule daily workload. Keep the supervisor aware of any issues or concerns.
Work Independently on different assignments as scheduled. Prioritize and complete work on time. Assist as a backup to other staff when out on leave.
Adhere to all TTUHSCEP policies, procedures, and processes.
Personally demonstrate, display, and act in accordance with TTUHSCEP’s values (Service, Respect, Accountability, Integrity, Advancement, and Teamwork). Actively promote and encourage staff across the institution.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
Proficient in Excel.
Time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
Ability to analyze issues and recommend/implement solutions.
Ability to perform simple mathematical computations, pay attention to detail and have data entry and analytical skills.
Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
